In 1979, the dynamic side came from nowhere to finish runners-up and 12 months later, they claimed their first premiership in 38 years. That team became famous as The Entertainers, but when the Bulldogs returned to the summit with back-to-back titles in 1984-85, it was on the broad shoulders of a fearsome line-up known as The Enforcers. Ensuing premiership successes in 1988, 1995 and 2004 were built on a magnificent mixture of those contrasting styles. Six titles in a quarter of a century have made the Bulldogs rugby league's most successful and respected club in the modern era.
