Gold Coast Titans 2023 Indigenous Jersey Adult*

Designed by Narelle Urquhart, the 2023 Gold Coast Titans Indigenous “Stronger Together” Jersey represents combining the efforts of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders and non-First Nations people to create a stronger, better future for Indigenous people. Narelle Urquhart is a Wiradjuri woman with connections into the Bundjalung Nation of the Northern Rivers, and showcases the beauty that lies deep within her culture through her artwork.  

  

This jersey represents the various programs, initiatives and actions the Gold Coast Titans undertake to embody the “Stronger Together” concept, including; their Deadly Futures program, Titans Together, and School to Work program. It also emphasizes the work that needs to be done together that will allow for First Nations people to be heard and acknowledged.  

 

The jersey can be split into three parts; Our Future, Our Legacy and Our Region.  

 

Our Strong Future. The gold at the top of the jersey represents the strong future of the Gold Coast Titans. An iconic colour used by the Titans, the gold makes a nod to the sunshine, beaches and energy across the Gold Coast. It represents the Titan’s future which is strengthened through the community, and being Stronger Together.  

 

Our Legacy. The stars on the jersey represent the Gold Coast Titans legacy, and their important contribution to First Nations communities across the country.  

  

Our Region. This is represented at the bottom of the jersey, showcasing various clans of the Yugambeh Language Group and the Bundjalung Nation from the mountains to the mangroves of the Tweed River.  

  

This Jersey features Dynasty Sport’s new cutting-edge Ecotek fabric which is made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles.
