The 1984 NSWRFL Grand Final was a tightly fought contest between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Parramatta Eels. Played on September 23, 1984, at the Sydney Cricket Ground, it drew 47,076 fans. Canterbury won narrowly, 6–4, with hooker Mark Bugden taking advantage of a gap in Parramatta’s defense to score the only try of the match. Chris Mortimer added the important goal for the Bulldogs, while Parramatta's points came from Mick Cronin, who kicked two penalty goals. This Grand Final is remembered as one of the lowest-scoring in NSWRFL history, with just 10 total points.
